KORONADAL CITY – August 10, 2015
– Nine(9) countries competing it best on the 1stKoronadal
International Folklore Festival “PYESTA KOLON DATAL” held in Koronadal City.
This International Festivities will be held from August 9 to 18, 2015 in the
different venue of South Cotabato including Mall Shows presentation and
Out-OF-TOWN Shows presentation. They are: From Japan delegation headed by Mr.
Reika Matsuura, Slovenia Delagation headed by, Mr. MihaKozjek, Chinese Taipei
delegation headed by Ms. Shutzenggat Chang, Mexico delegation headed by Ms.
Maria Dolores Olivier De Menchaca, Poland delegation headed by Ms. Hanna
Jaworska, Russia delegation headed by Mr. Iakovlev Yuri, Turkey delegation
headed by Mr. Ismael MuammerEssiz, Sri – Lanka delegation headed by Mr.
MudiyanselageGunadasaBasnayare, Indonesia delegation headed by AsishWaya Sari,
and including Local Dance Troupe headed by Ms. Vivian S. Salomen (ZSNHS
Melengas) Dance Troupe, Philippine Barangay Folk Dance Troupe headed by Mr.
Cambento Cruz and the last but not least PNU KislapSining Dance Troup headed by
Professor Pacita M. Narzo. They are sixteen (16) dance troupes’ presenters in
the different stage venue identified by the organizers nine (9) from foreign
dance troupe and seven (7) from the local participants.
“PyestaKolonDatal” Flag Raising
Program held and conducted at City Hall Ground Flag pole, City of Koronadal on
August 10, 2015 at exactly 7:30 A.M. with the participation of the foreign
delegates in the Flag Raising Ceremony followed by the singing of the
Philippine National Anthem and the South Cotabato Hymn and then followed the
MartsangLungsodngKoronadal Raising of Banners City of Koronadal, CIOFF,
PyestaKolonDatal and UNESCO. Welcome Address by Hon. Eliordo U. Ogena, City
Vice Mayor and then after the Welcome Address by the Vice Mayor Ogena followed
immediately the Raising of the Philippine Flag and the respective Country
Flags: Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Turkey, Japan, Russia, Slovenia, Chinese
Taipei and Poland and the Closing Remarks by Hon. Mark C. Lapidez, City
Councilor of Koronadal City with his closing statement.
Press Conference followed held at
the lobby of Koronadal City Hall facilitated and moderated by the City’s
Information Officer (CIO) Ms. Judith L. Amido and Ms. Caroline Mariano and
hosted by Hon. Peter V. Miguel, City Mayor Koronadal and Chairman and Executive
Director PyestaKolonDatal and 1st. Kononadal International Folklore
Festival. This international event hosted by City of Koronadal in cooperation
with PyestaKolonDatalKoronadal, Department of Tourism, NCAA, Cultural Center of
the Philippines, 45th Anniversary CIOFF – “The living tradition” and
USESCO’s 70th Anniversary Celebration.

Mayor Miguel introduced all the
foreign delegates and local participants to the media outlets who were presents
at the Press conference and he welcomes all the delegates “KANAMI KORONADAL”.
Comments from the delegates local
dance troupe, they interested in the B’laan unique culture in particular B’laan
Community Cultural presentation one Professor from the Bukidnon State
University has said during the presscon.
Foreign delegates comments, they
always admired as the Filipino tradition of hospitality amiable of love and
cares to foreign visitors. And they promised to be always willing and able to
come back to Koronadal City if they are invited to participate in the next
Folklore Festival.

universal language, birth rights and cultural identity – What do expects as
host City of Koronadal, Philippines in your shows presentation??? This was

answered by some foreign delegates promised to perform with all they best on stage…so please come and visit Koronadal City on their

Festival”.
