GENERAL SANTOS CITY – September
16, 2015 Tagboan focus on two topics from the health service and Yaman Gensan
Awards 2015, City Health Administrator Glenn Gonzales illustrates significance
achievements of Dr. George P. Royeca General Hospital the improvement of
hospital facilities and the upgrading of the hospital equipment to cater public
health service for the constituent of 26 barangays of General Santos City,
Sarangani Province and other nearby provinces.
Memorandum of Agreement was
signed by and between Dr. George P. Royeca General Santos City Hospital and
General Santos City Government that constitute for more affordable and better
health services for the Generals in particular and as well other people who
needs hospital cares in general.
There are 39 Whereas provisions
and Articles that guide policy formulation in the MOA which governed the new
City Health office administration. More specific on: Patient Case, Patient
Classification, Accommodation, Non-Surgical and Surgical medical attention for
in-patient mostly Philhealth benefits and privileges.
CHO Administrator Gonzales said, “Our
present hospital has a limited and capable staff that can manage the operation
of the health institution more effective and efficient that will serve both in-patient
and out-patient too”, Gonzales explained to the media. Hospital also has
limited funds, but sustained and capable to serve the public for medical
attention, cares and assistance, Gonzales said.
Hospital has also available
medicines that can supply and cater limited public assistance to indigent
patients who need medicines relief in case of emergency when arises.
7th YAMAN AWARDS 2015-

Yaman Awards 2015 is represented by Mr.
Winnie Guera and the Chair and members who briefed local media group of General
Santos City.
The success story of Yaman Awards
continue for 7 years now in a row has gained much achievement in giving awards
to recipients and outstanding businessmen and businesswomen in Gensan, this is
an annual activity for a business group who are based in General Santos City.
7th Yaman Awards
2015 has 65 nominees in different categories from: Small business enterprises,
Small and Medium Enterprises and Micro Medium Enterprises. The awardees are
from this sector, it includes: Loyal Tax Payer of the Year and Local Enterprise
of the Year. Mr. Winnie Guera said.
The selections Committee are
composed from the business sector and academe that supported local business
entrepreneur started and established business operation in Gensan.
The growth and success of
Gensan started from small business enterprises with a limited and small capital
infusion for a years ago of continuing development of business concept and
strategy, Guera said.
Gensan is one city part of
growth triangle in Mindanao to include Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City,
would be in a strategic business hub or business location for Mindanao regions
because of the proximity to outside world. Gensan have the advantage on three areas:
Airport, Container Van Warehouse and Seaport.
Yaman Awards give an award to
the Entrepreneur’s that’s start from Rags to riches, Guera said.
Business sector who fuel the
success and growth of General Santos City, there are players and contributors
for our success of city, Guera said.

NCC cities and municipalities competitiveness index. For region: Region 12 rank
no. 4 on the latest survey by NCC.
During the open forum Mr. Rene
Pamintuan suggested for the incoming Business Economic Summit to be held on
November 2015, he suggested to the local chamber of commerce, “ there should be
an area for Logistic City in Gensan which local government proposed for an
Aerotropolis in the previous Business Summit, Pamintuan said.”
