SEC-SOCOTECO II POWER
SYNCHRONIZATION
The Sarangani
Energy Corporation (SEC) is set to pursue its synchronization activities, in
line with its eventual commercial operation within the first quarter of 2016.
Some SOCOTECO II
customers will be experiencing intermittent loss of power, particularly on the
first three days of its testing period, expected anytime to occur on January 13
to 25, 2016. No fixed schedule is yet released, as it still await final
approval from NGCP System Operation Heads. The outages will be affecting customers
under SOCOTECO II’s Leon Llido, Calumpang, Fishport and New Society
substations.
Schedule of
synchronization activities will be communicated as soon as possible, upon its
confirmation.
Synchronization is
the process of aligning SEC’s power supply output into the Mindanao Power Grid,
equating parameters like magnitude, phase and frequency within Mindanao Power System
Network.
