NNC-DOH cites good practices, provides updates and skills
development
They are not superheroes, but they are the ticket to
well-nourished Filipinos in the barangays all over the country. They are the
Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).
BNS are the frontliners in providing basic health and
nutrition services in the communities.
Once again, almost 4,000 BNSs across the archipelago are set to meet in
a biennial national conference hosted by the National Nutrition Council (NNC)
of the Department of Health (DOH) in partnership with the LuzViMin BNS
Federation, Inc.
The biennial 3rd National Conference of Barangay Nutrition
Scholars will have four sub-conferences for the entire month of April. The first
event gets off the ground at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila in Ortigas
Avenue, Quezon City on 7 -8 April for the National Capital Region and Southern
Luzon Regions (CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Bicol).
The Northern Luzon sub-conference (BNSs from Regions 1, 2 and 3 and
Cordillera Administrative Region) will convene at the Vigan Convention Center
in Vigan City on 15-16 April; the Visayas sub-conference (BNSs from Regions 6,
7 and 8) will gather at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel on 22-23 April; while the Mindanao
cluster (BNSs from Regions 9, 10, 11, 12, CARAGA and ARMM) will have their
conference at the KCC Convention and Events Center in General Santos City on
28-29 April.
This year’s theme – “BNS: Bigay Todo sa Nutrisyon at
Serbisyo!” of the national conference underscores the role of BNSs in the
delivery of nutrition and related services to improve the nutritional status of
families in the barangays.
Moreover, it aims to continuously update and empower BNSs
towards addressing malnutrition and ending hunger; update the BNSs on current
nutrition and program developments; and, enhance their skills in improving
their performance as BNS. The conference will also serve as a venue for BNSs to
convene into a general assembly to discuss various concerns of the national
federation.
Topics during the two-day conference include the Updated
Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition 2015-2016; the results of the review of
the BNS program which will give recommendations for the amendment of PD 1569 or
“Strengthening the Barangay Nutrition Program by providing for a Barangay
Nutrition Scholar in every barangay” legislated in 1978; the latest nutrition
education strategies and tools to promote healthier diets such as the “Pinggang
Pinoy”: Healthy Food Plate for Filipino Adults; and the “10 Kumainments”, the
Nutritional Guidelines for Filipinos (NGF).
A discussion on the plans for the celebration of this year’s Nutrition
Month in July is also included to prepare the BNS for this nationwide annual
nutrition campaign.
Highlights of the conference include the launching of the
BNS Handbook which serves as a guide for BNSs in their performance as BNS. Likewise, the 2012 and 2013 National Outstanding
BNSs will share their good practices that made them win the award to inspire
other BNSs to work better and replicate the good practices in their
communities.
Notable personalities such as Senators Bam Aquino and
Cynthia Villar, and Assistant Secretary of Health and NNC Executive Director
Maria-Bernardita Flores will be in the event to give inspirational messages as
keynote speakers.
Currently, there are more than 40,000 BNS all over the
country. The BNS program is mandated by Presidential Decree No. 1569 and a key
strategy of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition. The BNS Program is
administered by the National Nutrition Council and implemented by local
government units.

KUDOS TO PATROLMAN DENNIS MONROID YUSON,JR. the SON of A POOR BUT GODLY PARENTS of SILWAY, GENSAN!
Blog
KUDOS TO PATROLMAN DENNIS MONROID YUSON,JR.
the SON of A POOR
BUT GODLY PARENTS of SILWAY, GENSAN!
He (DENNIS YUSON, JR) can be
described as one who was born, raised as SILWAY BOY. He can be called one who
doesn’t deserve an honor because he comes from a place like Silway, the “ Tondo
of Manila”. What good can come from such a place? Because as many know, many tenancies
like drug addiction, drug pushing is rampant in this barrio. This can be
compared to Nazareth, where Jesus Christ grew as a child, a boy, a man.
Although an extraordinary person because He is the Son of God,, poor since His
mother Mary is poor and St. Joseph, their guardian but whom Jesus look up to as
His human father , yet Jesus lived like any ordinary person, but one with
UNBLEMISHED CHARACTER.
Dennis Yuson, Jr, although,
economically poor and a son of a simple poor parents rose to the height of a
success, for sure, his parents being truly religious brought him to be a very diligent,
studious learner since Elementary.
He was the salutatorian in high
school, magna cum laude in college, NDDU and lately the Valedictorian when he
graduated at PNPA (Philippine National Police Academy) in Cavite.
Not only that he is a son of good
parents, but also he worked hard, with his parents’ guidelines and God’s inspirations
for him to reap the fruits of his labor this 2015!
Can we say “What good can come from
SILWAY, the “TONDO of MANILA”?
For Mr. and Mrs Dennis Yuson, Sr.
their son’s Victory is due to GOD;s work in them and in Dennis, Jr.
Not only is Dennis Monroid Yuson, Jr
our pride of Gensan, particularly of Silway , but also and more, our great awe
of gratitude to the all-loving, all-merciful God who looks with much concern on
all our efforts for goodness, for greatness!
May all boys and girls who may be sons
and daughter of poor parents looked down by others, aspire for greatness
despite everything! . (Written by: Prof. Rose A. Barrera Co-Anchor of ADLNSTV –

SOME ISSUES DISCUSSED, GIVEN CLOSER ATTENTION DURING THE 3RD TAGBOAN SA CITY HALL
Blog
SOME ISSUES
DISCUSSED, GIVEN CLOSER ATTENTION DURING THE 3RD TAGBOAN SA CITY
HALL
There were six issues brought out at
the third session of Tagboansa City hall, April 15, 2015 at the conference hall
of the city mayor’s office.
The first exposed by the
AngPahayaganNgayon, representative Beth Belangoy was about the urgent need to
be done with the plaza in front of the City hall, not enough lights there, some
“BatangTun-og” room around, some asking for anything from those who recreate
there with loved ones but those “tun-og children” reportedly do Truancies.
Another Media woman made a rejoinder
that there is no safety at that area in front of the city hall since there are
a lot of entrances and exits where discipline could be difficult. Unlike that
Magsaysay Park in Davao City where people go there feels
safe because there is an entrance and there is also an exit. It is much easier
for those who guard the plaza especially at nights because of safety nets. One
guard to stay at the entrance and the other at the exit. So less hazard for all
those who enjoy staying inside the area.
Another topic was the problem of
cleanliness or hygiene among the eateries in Gensan. Some reported that in one
of the eateries an earring was found in the bowl of vegetable soup. The
question raised was: How effective and
strict has been the checking and inspecting the knowledge they were faithful in
their task to assure that hygiene in the food preparation and the surroundings
in their place are human enough to the
customers. However, they (the eateries owners) may had lapses in times.
But the cities SI (sanitary inspectors) find ways and means to improve their
task.
The next topic discussed was the
Bula zone 6 and its problem faced… ejection. There was a lengthy explanation by
atty. Zapatos and atty. Clarin.
Opening of the diversion road at
apopong going toPolomolok, to the airport, to Sarangani Province and the city
of Gensan is concerned. Engineer Provido made assurance that the work is now
being accelerated to meet the needs, not only of the people of Gensan but also
of the need of incoming travellers from other parts of Mindanao, not to mention
the tourists coming from inside the country who travel by land.
The mayor and his staff thanked all
the media people present at the third Tagboansa City hall. Olivert Castro of
Masa Patrol, AnterAlcos of Alerto, Boy Pialogo of DXGS and Humpey Martinez of
91.1 KeesFm were those who contributed issues for discussion. (Written by: Prof. Rose A. Barrera Co-Anchor of ADLNSTV –

BARANGAYAN:
Blog
BARANGAYAN:
SO THAT CITY OFFICIALS VISIT TO KNOW THEIR
CONSTITUENTS FOR BETTER, EFFECTIVE SERVICE
Mayor Ronnel C.
Rivera and the officialdom of the Department heads of the City government of
General Santos serving the constituents of Barangay North Dadiangas.
Similar to
the idea of “Looking for the lost sheep” the city government officials
regularly out of their respective offices every Friday to visit the barangay as
scheduled. The regular visit aims to listen to the people’s needs and problems,
with their barangay officials to see to it that those needs and problems will
be met with understanding and sympathy.
It’s a
“bottom-up” style of leadership on the part of the city officials because
through the open dialogue with the people of the barangays, the city officials,
thru the barangay officials, will have an easier and better access to the
people’s needs and their problems.
People, in
every barangay will be led to look into their own selves, their situation, problems
and needs and also, the people can exercise their ability to identify their
many needs and problems and also to be able to know how and why problems occur.
Most
probably, Thru the Barangayan people are led to find ways and means how to solve
their problems.
Besides, on
the part of the city officials, Barangayan time is a great opportunity for both
officials and their constituents to know one another better and deeper. Thus,
the delivery of services from barangay to their people and from the city to the
barangay level will be easier, smoother, more productive and effective as far
as the delivery of services is concerned.
Considering the distance, the expenses and time needed by the barangay
folks to see their city officials, the barangayan serves the people better and
more effectively and gives them a feeling of worth and contentment since they
exert less effort, very little expense and less time consuming on their part
because of accessibility to the different services given.
Isn’t the
Barangayan , a modern approach to leadership? Because instead of the people
from the barangay to go to the city proper for them to ask for help, it’s the
city officials, with their different services to answer the barangay people,
who will be in the barangay to respond to their needs and to help them face
their problems with courage and efficiently.
In case
there are those in the barangay who need medical assistance, there is the
city’s MOBILE HOSPITAL, blood typing, free eye/ear consultations, urine
examination, etc, etc.
Not only the
city officials will came closer to the people but also the barangay folks will
have an easier, chosen access to their officials in the city. (Prof. Rose A.

Re-balancing Power and Economic Wealth in the Asia Pacific Regions
Blog
Re-balancing Power and Economic
Wealth in the Asia Pacific Regions
In nine (9) months more to go,
the ASEAN Integration and ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) to forge an alliance
of the ten (10) small nations with a combining of six (6) million population of
women and men to form into one single economy. These small nations within the
pacific rim has no military power to protect their security interest unlike the
aggressive China and the Chinese regime mulling and bullying Asian by
displaying their military might and superiority investing their resources for a
military build-up over a couple of years. Does it make them to date “The number
two power house of world economic domination second to the United Stated of
America”. China gainfully controlled global production by their open markets
policy attraction inviting foreign investors to invest in their country for a
cheap local labor policy offers to foreign company.
Chinese government of displaying
their military might in the disputed island South China Seas aptly called
Mischief Reef, what is purpose and intension??? In a recent week past, Chinese
regime displayed their Submarine which is carrying Ballistic Missiles according
to Intel report of the US arms analysis released recently.
US warns versus militarization of
Asian sea row in a recent visit of US Secretary of Defense Ash Carter in his
kicked off first Asian tour yesterday with a stern warning against the
militarization of territorial rows in a region where China is at odds with
several nations in the East and South China Seas.
Asked by reporter, whether the
beef up US-Philippine military exercises were response to China’s moves, Carter
said, the US and the Philippines has shared interests in the region, including
a desire to ensure no changes in the status quo take effect through force or
that territorial rows were militarized.
Carter said, “We take a strong
stance against the militarization of these disputes,” Carter told a news
conference after talks with his Japanese counterpart, Defense Minister General
Nakatani.
In addition, the Philippines have
said Chinese dredgers had started reclaiming a seventh.
Chinese workers are building
ports and fuel storage depots, as well as possibly two airstrips that experts
believe would allow China to project power deep into the maritime heart of
Southeast Asia.
US Pacific Fleet Commander Harry
Harris told an Australian think tank last week that China was using dredges and
bulldozers to create a “great wall of sand” in the South China Sea.
China claims most of the
potentially energy rich waterway, through which $5 trillion in ship-borne trade
passes every year. Ambition might control the passage of pacific sea lane which
very strategic for sea cargo vessel delivery of bulk of container vans within
and out of Asian regions trading partners. This commonly known “Pacific rim”.
Tighter alliance ties for
rebalancing of power
Carter also welcomed progress
toward the first update in US-Japan defense cooperation guidelines since 1997,
a revision that will expand the scope for interaction between the allies in
line with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s push to ease the constraints of Japan’s
pacifist CONSTITUTION on the nation’s military.
“It’s going to give first of all
Japan, but also our alliance, much greater scope to provide security in the
region, and for that matter elsewhere outside of the region,” Carter said as
the talks began.
Abe’s move to allow Japan to come
to the aid of an ally under attack would pave the way for closer cooperation
between US and Japanese forces across Asia. Admiral Robert Thomas, commander of
the US Seventh Fleet, said last month.
How about the security of the ten
(10) small nation’s member of ASEAN Integration and ASEAN Economic Community
(AEC) have their own security??? Or are they secured and protected by Allied
forces of the Super power??? If attack???
In January, Thomas said, the US
would also welcome Japanese air patrol in the South China Sea.
Nakatani told the news conference
with Carter, however, that the new guidelines did not target any particular
region, including the South China Sea.
In a written interview with
Japan’s Yomiuri newspaper published recently, Carter expressed concern about
land reclamation in the South China Sea.
“We are especially concerned at
the prospect of militarization of these outposts,” the newspaper quoted him as
saying.
“These activities seriously
increase tensions and reduce prospects for diplomatic solutions. We urge China
to limit its activities and exercise restraint to improve regional trust.”
“If these outposts for military
use by China it create tensions for the Asian regions, but if the purpose for
commercial use or tourist attraction, I think, its normal has nothing to fear
wouldn’t create trouble or conflicts”.
“China expansionism should only
limit in their own territory, not occupying other nation’s sovereignty”. I am
in favor of fair trade expansionism, because nothing will harm in business it
create jobs, produced economic growth and GDP
for all nations whether big or small country”.
Carter also repeated US
opposition to any to any “coercive unilateral” action by China to undermine
Japan’s administrative control of disputed islands, known as Senkaku in Japan
and Diaoyu in China, in the East China Sea.
China’s Foreign Ministry
spokesman Hua Chunying told s regular news briefing in Beiging: “We hope the US
side can respect the wisdoms of China and relevant countries to resolve the
problem via dialogue, say more responsible things and make more responsible
moves, so it can genuinely play a constructive role in maintaining regional
peace and stability.”
Abe’s government plans to submit
bills to parliament in the coming months to ratify his Cabinet’s decision last
year to allow Japan to exercise its right of collective self-defense, the
biggest shift in Japanese security policy in decades.
“How about the small nations in
the Southeast Asia have also the capability like what Japanese government moves
in their parliament for security beep-up??? I think, they have no the same
privilege like what Japan did???
Carter nakatani and two
countries’ foreign ministers are expected to unveil the new defense guidelines
in the late April, before Abe meets US President Barack Obama on April 28 for
summit in Washington. (Abs Damahan Anchor of ADLSNTV, adlsntv.blogspot.com and

ARE WE READY FOR ASEAN INTEGRATION FOR THE YEAR 2015???
Blog
ARE WE READY FOR ASEAN INTEGRATION FOR THE YEAR 2015???
Whether we like it or not Asean
Integration will come into to forge an alliance for a single and powerful
economy of the Association of the South East Asian Nations acronyms of (ASEAN).
Ten (10) nations come together to organize for free market economy with-out
much restriction in the delivery of goods and services to include travel and
working visa with-in the regions for the members of the association in the
up-coming integration.
There are comprising member
nations in the integration are: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia,
Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam with a combine population
of 600 million.
Are we ready and prepared in more
nine (9) months to go???
HOW OUR LOCAL INDUSTRY PRODUCERS CAN COMPETE WITH OUR NEIGHBORING RICH NATIONS??? OUR EXPORT/IMPORT INDUSTRY ARE THEY COMPLYING AND UPGRADING THEIR SYSTEM TO DATE??? DOES DTI AND SEC HAVE MOBILIZED THEIR PERSONNEL FOR THE INFORMATION, EDUCATION, DESIMINATION AND CAMPAIGN WORKS FOR THE INDUSTRY SECTORAL GROUP AND BUSINESS ORGANIZATION AND CHAMBERS ORGANIZATION THAT WILL COMPLY WITH THE INTEGRATION??? ARE THE PORT OF ENTRY AND ORIGIN UPGRADED??? HOW OUR CONTAINER WAREHOUSES ARE ALSO UPGRADED AND IMPROVED TO DATE??? ARE OUR AIRPORT RUN WAY LANE AND TERMINALS MEETING THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARD??? ARE OUR INTERNET CONNECTIVITY AND BANWIDTH CAN COMPARES WITH MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE??? AND THE WORSE AND BAD OF ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCY IS BERUEAU OF CUSTOMS HAD INSTITUTED THE REFORMED IN THEIR SYSTEMS???
The study of ADB and ILO-
The success of ASEAN regional
integration will depend on how this affects the labor market and quality of
life of women and men in the region???
This joint study of the Asian
Development Bank and the International Labor Organization examines the impact
of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) on labor. It highlights the challenges
and opportunities that will accompany the AEC, including managing labor
migration, boosting productivity and wages, and improving job quality. The
report offers policy recommendations for creating better jobs and ensuring that
the benefits of the AEC are equitably shared among different countries and
sectors.
The AEC will create a single
market and production base and new opportunities for prosperity for the regions
600 million women and men. This will have implications for job gains and
losses, skills development, wages and productivity, labor migration, social
protection systems, and building connectivity. However, unless managed
properly, the AEC may not translate into benefits for everyone and could
increase existing inequalities.
To realize the full potential of
the AEC to deliver more and better jobs, decisive action is necessary,
including better management of structural change, ensuring that economic gains
lead to shared prosperity, while strengthening regional cooperation and
tripartite dialogue. Ultimately, the success of ASEAN regional integration will
depend on how it affects the labor market - and therefore how it improves the
quality of life of women and men in the region???
Comments and Analysis-
As we move towards 2016, just nine
(9) months away from now, you and do keep abreast of what are going in our
environment, especially now, we are in this ASEAN INTEGRATION (ASSOCIATION OF
SOUTH EAST ASIAN NATIONS) which comprises ten (10)nations and six (6) rich
nations like Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, , Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
and still 4 poor under developing countries, Combodia, Laos, Myanmar and
Philippines,
What might be in store for us
especially the still under developing country already mentioned elsewhere in
this article???
May we: Combodia, Laos, Myanmar
and Philippines benefit much or only a little in this ASEAN integration in
terms of economy, trading partners and benefits?
Some politically wise men say that as usual
great, rich nations will surely have a much bigger edge and advantages, than
those poor, still under developing nations.
How much integration in terms of
economy and entrepreneurial matters shall the four (4) poor members of the
ASEAN benefit from this merging of the ten (10) nations in the South East of
Asia? In terms on how to go about with running sophisticated business deals,
the poor under developed nations Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Philippines would
be and could be on two head’s and left behind by the six (6) rich, highly
sophisticated, already established countries of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia,
Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam!
If we were in a Basketball game, these six (6)
would surely gain much more than what the four (4) countries achieve
considering their expertise and knowledge gained as far as running a business
is concerned, wouldn’t they???
But why have they the four (4) countries
accepted the challenged to deal with to dare to challenge those experts in
entrepreneurship???
In the latest economic survey
reports, we are the second fastest growing economy right now and this must be
sustained and protected by our economic planners and business group. Perhaps,
it’s a rare opportunity for the Philippines to be in group chosen as one of a
top priority investor’s haven country today. They have trust in us and we
should take cares of them, to fully gain and to continue
the full trust and confidence with us in our financial system and friendly
business matters and operation.
Well, we’ve accepted the
challenge because we are belonging to the Asian league. We cannot escape
because of a long bonding to our neighboring friendly nations in the Asian
region. We hope are not left behind in the ASEAN Integration to compete with
them in a fair and just cooperation.
LET’S SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN??? (By: Abs Damahan

IS THE WAR IN
MINDANAO BETWEEN CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS?
IF NOT, WHAT IS IT THEN?
Brief Backgrounder:
Historical
Perspective of Bangsamoro Struggle:
*Moro as a nation or Moro Nation (Bangsa Moro) as early as 7th
– 12th Century. One of the earliest political civilization in Asia”.
Kerajaan Political system existed even before coming of Islam in Mindanao.
Started by Rajah Baguinda in 1390 A. D. Governance led by Rajahs in Mindanao,
Sulu, Visayas and Luzon.
*Arrival of Islam in Mindanao and
Philippines
“Islam arrived in Mindanao
sometimes in 9th Century but was only officially recorded in 12th
Century” (Dr. Ben J. Sakili – History of Mor & Indigeneous Peoples of
Mindanao).
“Francisco Combes wrote of a
“First Nation” governed by Kings in Sulu and Maguindanao, while referring to
Buhayan (Buayan) as “the second nation in estimation”, that was to usher in a
war against Spain during the height of the Spanish conquest and colonization
period. “PROOF OF NATIONHOOD”.
CONTEMPORARY PROOF ON BANGSAMORO
NATIONALITY:
·
“The
Philippine Muslims or Bangsamoro in Mindanao, with a total population of about
four to five million people, constitute a nationality, culturally distinct from
and (common) historically older than the Filipino nationality???
·
Nationality or Bangsa
·
“Nationality” (or bangsa) is technically defined
as “a people who because of their belief in their common descent and their
mission in the world, by virtue of their common cultural heritage and
historical career aspire to sovereignty over a territory or seek to maintain or
enlarge theirpolitical or cultural influence in the face of opposition”. (With “Types
of Nationalism “1936: p. 723 (Quoted by AbrahamP. Sakili – PDI 3/15/15 Issue).
The Cost of War and Damages:
·
It has been a long struggle one combatant said,
153,000 Bangsamoro killed and still counting damage to properties immeasurable
and unaccounted in costing in forty-three (43) years of conflicts. Estimated Php640
Billion economic losses since 1972 to date, AFP spent Php132 Billion for combat
operation, military hardware and equipment and still counted, MNLF Founding
Chairman Prof. NurMisuari organized Moro struggle in 1969 as a revolutionary
movement with only three (3) core group after the JABIDAH MASSACRE, then he
recruited Moro Combatants in the early 70s to mobilize into armed fighters with
a strong forces of 30,000 fully armed group against the government then
declining after the 1976 Tripoli Agreement one fourth to one half of MNLF
returned to the fold of law as surrenders (Suko o balikArmas)because of a
strong policy attraction of then Dictator President Ferdinand E. Marcos
Philippine ruled by Decrees and repressive laws at that time. And then the polarization
of the revolutionary movement Patriarch leader Ustadz Hashim Salamat created
separate revolutionary movement, the birth of MILF faction they started from 55
members in 1977 increased to 12,000 strong fully arms combatants for the year
2001 still counting of more followers, sympathizers and supporters to the
revolutionary movement to date. At the height of a strong and powerful
government campaigned against the MORO STRUGGLE. The mass victims affected by
war accounted the numbers of displaced civilians of 2 Million and still counted
as of to date. This was deeply painful experienced on past and history of the
Bangsamoro. The next generation of the Moros should not experience the war we
were started in the 70s against the government.
By Age Factor:
·
By age factor of the trio leaders of
revolutionary movement of Kagi Murad Ibrahim Chairman of MILF,
KagiGhadjaliJaafar VC for Political Affairs and Kagi Mohagher Iqbal Head of the
peace negotiating panel and Chairman of the BTC, they are considers as
professionals, more responsible, more accommodating and secular Moro leaders of
MILF after them, we don’t know who will get the throne of MILF Chairmanship “I
am afraid and in fear the next in line leader of the movement might be more
radical than the three, who wanted for peaceful solution of the BANGSAMORO
question??? “As their legacy to the BANGSAMORO people”.
How Long War in Mindanao???
How long has the war in Mindanao
allegedly between Christians and Muslims been?
Is it (the war in Mindanao)
historically been between Christians and Muslims? When and how did it begin?
If we look back to the past,
sometime between 1965-1968 when Marcos, Sr. was become a President. He got
re-elected in 1968 for another 4 years. But because he wanted to be the
president for life, he declared martial law September 21, 1972. To be sure that
before 1973 the next election would come, Marcos could be sure to remain the
president for life!
As counted, the war in Mindanao has
been with us since 43 years ago. To be exact, it started in 1972 when he
formally declared a situation when the whole Philippine Nation would be under
Martial law. As was understood by the Filipinos, Sept. 21, 1972 was the start
of the lost of freedom.
Before 1972, as explained to us, “a person is
considered innocent until proven guilty!”
But at the start of Martial rule,
any person even just suspected of a crime could be picked up and put to jail-
already judged guilty. Therefore, no more investigations. Really, loss of freedom to defend oneself.
Also, in 1968 Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.
planned to invade Sabah, to claim it as part of our country. To do this, he had
24 Muslims trained soldiers to invade Sabah. The code name of those 24 Muslims
soldiers was JABIDAH. When the devilish aim of Marcos was made known by the
late Sen. Benigno Aquino, Jr in the
senate in his privilege speech.
Because of this Marcos secret to
invade Sabah was made known already to the public thru Aguino’s open report,
Marcos got mad, so mad that he decided to declare Martial rules govern by
decrees and Executive Order by virtue of his power as President of the Republic
of the Philippines. Hence, the
Jabidah Massacre occurred on March 18, 1968- 47 years ago. In that same years
Armando Liwanag, surnamed JOSE MARIA SISON, now the Communist Party of the
Philippines (CPP) founder decided to go to the Mountains as a protest against
the evil done- to have the 24 soldiers trained to invade Sabah, killed;
although one was able to escape death (JIBIN AROLA) and to include missing
persons belong to activism during Martial rule.
Together with
Joma Sison was Nur Misuari, Dante
Buscayno, etal went to underground as revolutionary leaders against Marcos
regime.
46 years have already passed, but
now the war in Mindanao continues to the present.
The war has become intense which
has been considered by those “war brains” as between Christians and Muslims.
However, the truth is the war began
when a group of Filipinos and Muslim Filipinos like MIsuari rebelled against
the Jabidah massacre and intensified when the Sultanate of Sulu fought against
the Malaysians who don’t want to give up the lands owned by the Sultanate of
Sulu but rented by the Malaysians.
So now the war in Mindanao
heightened by the recent Mamasapano massacre after the more than 6 years
Maguindanao Massacre on Nov. 23, 2009 still UNRESOLVED has become WORSE than
ever. But still now we are made to believe that Christians and Muslims fight
against one another because of religion???
No, it’s not true that religion is
the cause of the Mindanao war!
As many brainy ones proclaim, the
present war goes on and on. Because the public is made to believe that muslims
and Christians fight because of religion, a feeling of animosity by Christians
against Muslims occurs!
Very, very pathetic for Christians
and Muslims! Christians are forced to believe and accept the “false truth” that
Christians are good, but Muslims are bad!
Many Filipinos strongly believe
that the Mamasapano massacre occurred because the Muslims (MILF-BIFF) have
killed 44 SAF. While only 18 MILF and 5 civilians were killed by the SAF”. Kawawa
ng 44 SAF”, the majority of Christians Filipinos say, but none say about the 18
MILF and 5 civilians who died in that useless war.
Why useless war? Because as Senator
Antonio Trillanes IV has said, it was a war that was planned for the SAF to die
because on Jan. 24, the eve of the massacre, the PNP higher authorities had the
AFP leaders drink wine so much so that they all became drunk, So that on the
early morning of Jan. 25, those AFP officers could not lead their men to
coordinate w/ the SAF leaders who thought of the 9 million dollars for Marwan’s
and Usman’s heads and to claim that big amount, their own!
So, can you imagine going to war
PNP-SAF Officers under the influence of wine or liquor??? Is a suicidal
operation on the part of PNP-SAF…
In other words, those 44 fallen
policemen died as a result of the mishandling of the “OPLAN EXODUS” to catch Marwan
and Basit Usman.
So, who’s to blame for the massacre?
The SAF leaders? Or the MILF/BIFF who claim that they just fought back”.
Meaning it’s the Policeman who shot first!
Peace Forum on BBL
On recent Peace forum at Capitol
Gymnasium, Alabel, Sarangani Province on March 31, 2015 both GPH Peace Panel
Prof. Miriam Coronel- Ferrer GPH Peace Panel Chair and Mr. Senen Bacani are
optimistic BBL will pass and ratified in Congress. Ferrer said, “both GPH peace
panel and MILF negotiating panel should valued the peace negotiation they have
started three years ago until to date’. “The peace process is for all
stakeholders Ferrer said”. “The peace process is difficult to understand a very
complex statement, while war is easy to understand, Ferrer added”.
Mr. Senen Bacani explained during
the Peace forum and he said, “Muslim Mindanao and Cordillera province must have
the AUTHOMY it is in our CONSTITUTION”. And Parliamentary form of government is
also in our CONSTITUTION”, Bacani said. In the Article of Social Justice: “The nation’s wealth in revenue should be
equitably shared by the society regardless who they are belonging too as long
they are Filipinos”. Bacani further explained.
What is BANGSAMORO???
Bacani explained in simple term:
1. Identity
2. Political
Entity
3. Government
and Governance
Note: Refer to the Drafted Bangsamoro
Basic Law (BBL).
MILF will not rule Bangsamoro
government, they will only appoint after the ratification of BBL and Plebiscite
held on as member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA). There are
composed of 50 members appointed by the President, Bacani said.
The nation has only One Armed
Forces of the Philippine (AFP) and One Philippine National Police (PNP), non
AFP and PNP Police power from the MILF.
BIAF will be decommissioning phase-by-phases under disarmament agreement
between the GPH and MILF signed documents in CAB and decommissioned programs in
the exit provisions of CAB and peace process agreement. What do you think??? Is
the GPH will honor or dishonor CAB??? Are we having face to value our
commitment to peace??? Or just the same we don’t care and honor peace pack???
“Sa medaling salita paid lips of service lang!!! Oh!!! Kapoy na jud ka sulat…
Bangsamoro has it owned formula
in term of Socio-economic development in their road map plan during the
transition and after 2016 regular election.
Bangsamoro has no power for
CONSTITUTIONAL COMMISSION is purely administrative governance and has no
intension to secede from the National Government. Those who opposed to BBL are
purely a pigment of imagination sa madali’t salita mga kathang isip lamang at
haka-haka hindi magdulot kabutihan bagkus kagulohan lamang sa Mindanao, mas
mainam yata tulong-tulong lahat hapapin at harapin ang pagkalahatng kapayapaan
sa buong Bansa natin…
Bangsamoro and BBL will never
become an ISLAMIC LAW is also a secular Bangsamoro government an inclusive to
TRI-PEOPLE for all Mindanawan, Bacani ended up his presentation…
“The summed up, the BANGSAMORO are
politically, economically, socially and culturally divested of the legitimate
rights to exist as distinct people for their Rights to Self-determination”.
