MINDANAO BETWEEN CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS?
IF NOT, WHAT IS IT THEN?
Brief Backgrounder:
Historical
Perspective of Bangsamoro Struggle:
*Moro as a nation or Moro Nation (Bangsa Moro) as early as 7th
– 12th Century. One of the earliest political civilization in Asia”.
Kerajaan Political system existed even before coming of Islam in Mindanao.
Started by Rajah Baguinda in 1390 A. D. Governance led by Rajahs in Mindanao,
Sulu, Visayas and Luzon.
*Arrival of Islam in Mindanao and
Philippines
“Islam arrived in Mindanao
sometimes in 9th Century but was only officially recorded in 12th
Century” (Dr. Ben J. Sakili – History of Mor & Indigeneous Peoples of
Mindanao).
“Francisco Combes wrote of a
“First Nation” governed by Kings in Sulu and Maguindanao, while referring to
Buhayan (Buayan) as “the second nation in estimation”, that was to usher in a
war against Spain during the height of the Spanish conquest and colonization
period. “PROOF OF NATIONHOOD”.
CONTEMPORARY PROOF ON BANGSAMORO
NATIONALITY:

“The
Philippine Muslims or Bangsamoro in Mindanao, with a total population of about
four to five million people, constitute a nationality, culturally distinct from
and (common) historically older than the Filipino nationality???

Nationality or Bangsa
·
“Nationality” (or bangsa) is technically defined
as “a people who because of their belief in their common descent and their
mission in the world, by virtue of their common cultural heritage and
historical career aspire to sovereignty over a territory or seek to maintain or
enlarge theirpolitical or cultural influence in the face of opposition”. (With “Types

The Cost of War and Damages:

It has been a long struggle one combatant said,
153,000 Bangsamoro killed and still counting damage to properties immeasurable
and unaccounted in costing in forty-three (43) years of conflicts. Estimated Php640
Billion economic losses since 1972 to date, AFP spent Php132 Billion for combat
operation, military hardware and equipment and still counted, MNLF Founding
Chairman Prof. NurMisuari organized Moro struggle in 1969 as a revolutionary
movement with only three (3) core group after the JABIDAH MASSACRE, then he
recruited Moro Combatants in the early 70s to mobilize into armed fighters with
a strong forces of 30,000 fully armed group against the government then
declining after the 1976 Tripoli Agreement one fourth to one half of MNLF
returned to the fold of law as surrenders (Suko o balikArmas)because of a
strong policy attraction of then Dictator President Ferdinand E. Marcos
Philippine ruled by Decrees and repressive laws at that time. And then the polarization
of the revolutionary movement Patriarch leader Ustadz Hashim Salamat created
separate revolutionary movement, the birth of MILF faction they started from 55
members in 1977 increased to 12,000 strong fully arms combatants for the year
2001 still counting of more followers, sympathizers and supporters to the
revolutionary movement to date. At the height of a strong and powerful
government campaigned against the MORO STRUGGLE. The mass victims affected by
war accounted the numbers of displaced civilians of 2 Million and still counted
as of to date. This was deeply painful experienced on past and history of the
Bangsamoro. The next generation of the Moros should not experience the war we
were started in the 70s against the government.

By age factor of the trio leaders of
revolutionary movement of Kagi Murad Ibrahim Chairman of MILF,
KagiGhadjaliJaafar VC for Political Affairs and Kagi Mohagher Iqbal Head of the
peace negotiating panel and Chairman of the BTC, they are considers as
professionals, more responsible, more accommodating and secular Moro leaders of
MILF after them, we don’t know who will get the throne of MILF Chairmanship “I
am afraid and in fear the next in line leader of the movement might be more
radical than the three, who wanted for peaceful solution of the BANGSAMORO
question??? “As their legacy to the BANGSAMORO people”.
How Long War in Mindanao???
How long has the war in Mindanao
allegedly between Christians and Muslims been?
Is it (the war in Mindanao)
historically been between Christians and Muslims? When and how did it begin?
If we look back to the past,
sometime between 1965-1968 when Marcos, Sr. was become a President. He got
re-elected in 1968 for another 4 years. But because he wanted to be the
president for life, he declared martial law September 21, 1972. To be sure that
before 1973 the next election would come, Marcos could be sure to remain the
president for life!
As counted, the war in Mindanao has
been with us since 43 years ago. To be exact, it started in 1972 when he
formally declared a situation when the whole Philippine Nation would be under
Martial law. As was understood by the Filipinos, Sept. 21, 1972 was the start
of the lost of freedom.
Before 1972, as explained to us, “a person is
considered innocent until proven guilty!”
But at the start of Martial rule,
any person even just suspected of a crime could be picked up and put to jail-
already judged guilty. Therefore, no more investigations. Really, loss of freedom to defend oneself.
Also, in 1968 Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.
planned to invade Sabah, to claim it as part of our country. To do this, he had
24 Muslims trained soldiers to invade Sabah. The code name of those 24 Muslims
soldiers was JABIDAH. When the devilish aim of Marcos was made known by the
late Sen. Benigno Aquino, Jr in the
senate in his privilege speech.
Because of this Marcos secret to
invade Sabah was made known already to the public thru Aguino’s open report,
Marcos got mad, so mad that he decided to declare Martial rules govern by
decrees and Executive Order by virtue of his power as President of the Republic
of the Philippines. Hence, the
Jabidah Massacre occurred on March 18, 1968- 47 years ago. In that same years
Armando Liwanag, surnamed JOSE MARIA SISON, now the Communist Party of the
Philippines (CPP) founder decided to go to the Mountains as a protest against
the evil done- to have the 24 soldiers trained to invade Sabah, killed;
although one was able to escape death (JIBIN AROLA) and to include missing
persons belong to activism during Martial rule.
Together with
Joma Sison was Nur Misuari, Dante
Buscayno, etal went to underground as revolutionary leaders against Marcos
regime.
46 years have already passed, but
now the war in Mindanao continues to the present.
The war has become intense which
has been considered by those “war brains” as between Christians and Muslims.
However, the truth is the war began
when a group of Filipinos and Muslim Filipinos like MIsuari rebelled against
the Jabidah massacre and intensified when the Sultanate of Sulu fought against
the Malaysians who don’t want to give up the lands owned by the Sultanate of
Sulu but rented by the Malaysians.
So now the war in Mindanao
heightened by the recent Mamasapano massacre after the more than 6 years
Maguindanao Massacre on Nov. 23, 2009 still UNRESOLVED has become WORSE than
ever. But still now we are made to believe that Christians and Muslims fight
against one another because of religion???
No, it’s not true that religion is
the cause of the Mindanao war!
As many brainy ones proclaim, the
present war goes on and on. Because the public is made to believe that muslims
and Christians fight because of religion, a feeling of animosity by Christians
against Muslims occurs!
Very, very pathetic for Christians
and Muslims! Christians are forced to believe and accept the “false truth” that
Christians are good, but Muslims are bad!
Many Filipinos strongly believe
that the Mamasapano massacre occurred because the Muslims (MILF-BIFF) have
killed 44 SAF. While only 18 MILF and 5 civilians were killed by the SAF”. Kawawa
ng 44 SAF”, the majority of Christians Filipinos say, but none say about the 18
MILF and 5 civilians who died in that useless war.
Why useless war? Because as Senator
Antonio Trillanes IV has said, it was a war that was planned for the SAF to die
because on Jan. 24, the eve of the massacre, the PNP higher authorities had the
AFP leaders drink wine so much so that they all became drunk, So that on the
early morning of Jan. 25, those AFP officers could not lead their men to
coordinate w/ the SAF leaders who thought of the 9 million dollars for Marwan’s
and Usman’s heads and to claim that big amount, their own!
So, can you imagine going to war
PNP-SAF Officers under the influence of wine or liquor??? Is a suicidal
operation on the part of PNP-SAF…
In other words, those 44 fallen
policemen died as a result of the mishandling of the “OPLAN EXODUS” to catch Marwan
and Basit Usman.
So, who’s to blame for the massacre?
The SAF leaders? Or the MILF/BIFF who claim that they just fought back”.
Meaning it’s the Policeman who shot first!
Peace Forum on BBL
On recent Peace forum at Capitol
Gymnasium, Alabel, Sarangani Province on March 31, 2015 both GPH Peace Panel
Prof. Miriam Coronel- Ferrer GPH Peace Panel Chair and Mr. Senen Bacani are
optimistic BBL will pass and ratified in Congress. Ferrer said, “both GPH peace
panel and MILF negotiating panel should valued the peace negotiation they have
started three years ago until to date’. “The peace process is for all
stakeholders Ferrer said”. “The peace process is difficult to understand a very
complex statement, while war is easy to understand, Ferrer added”.
Mr. Senen Bacani explained during
the Peace forum and he said, “Muslim Mindanao and Cordillera province must have
the AUTHOMY it is in our CONSTITUTION”. And Parliamentary form of government is
also in our CONSTITUTION”, Bacani said. In the Article of Social Justice: “The nation’s wealth in revenue should be
equitably shared by the society regardless who they are belonging too as long
they are Filipinos”. Bacani further explained.
What is BANGSAMORO???
Bacani explained in simple term:
1. Identity
2. Political
Entity
3. Government
and Governance

Basic Law (BBL).
MILF will not rule Bangsamoro
government, they will only appoint after the ratification of BBL and Plebiscite
held on as member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA). There are
composed of 50 members appointed by the President, Bacani said.
The nation has only One Armed
Forces of the Philippine (AFP) and One Philippine National Police (PNP), non
AFP and PNP Police power from the MILF.
BIAF will be decommissioning phase-by-phases under disarmament agreement
between the GPH and MILF signed documents in CAB and decommissioned programs in
the exit provisions of CAB and peace process agreement. What do you think??? Is
the GPH will honor or dishonor CAB??? Are we having face to value our
commitment to peace??? Or just the same we don’t care and honor peace pack???

Bangsamoro has it owned formula
in term of Socio-economic development in their road map plan during the
transition and after 2016 regular election.
Bangsamoro has no power for
CONSTITUTIONAL COMMISSION is purely administrative governance and has no
intension to secede from the National Government. Those who opposed to BBL are
purely a pigment of imagination sa madali’t salita mga kathang isip lamang at
haka-haka hindi magdulot kabutihan bagkus kagulohan lamang sa Mindanao, mas
mainam yata tulong-tulong lahat hapapin at harapin ang pagkalahatng kapayapaan
sa buong Bansa natin…
Bangsamoro and BBL will never
become an ISLAMIC LAW is also a secular Bangsamoro government an inclusive to
TRI-PEOPLE for all Mindanawan, Bacani ended up his presentation…
“The summed up, the BANGSAMORO are
politically, economically, socially and culturally divested of the legitimate
rights to exist as distinct people for their Rights to Self-determination”.
