SOME ISSUES DISCUSSED, GIVEN CLOSER ATTENTION DURING THE 3RD TAGBOAN SA CITY HALL

There were six issues brought out at the third session of Tagboansa City hall, April 15, 2015 at the conference hall of the city mayor’s office.
The first exposed by the AngPahayaganNgayon, representative Beth Belangoy was about the urgent need to be done with the plaza in front of the City hall, not enough lights there, some “BatangTun-og” room around, some asking for anything from those who recreate there with loved ones but those “tun-og children” reportedly do  Truancies.
Another Media woman made a rejoinder that there is no safety at that area in front of the city hall since there are a lot of entrances and exits where discipline could be difficult. Unlike that Magsaysay Park in Davao City where people go there feels safe because there is an entrance and there is also an exit. It is much easier for those who guard the plaza especially at nights because of safety nets. One guard to stay at the entrance and the other at the exit. So less hazard for all those who enjoy staying inside the area.
Another topic was the problem of cleanliness or hygiene among the eateries in Gensan. Some reported that in one of the eateries an earring was found in the bowl of vegetable soup. The question  raised was: How effective and strict has been the checking and inspecting the knowledge they were faithful in their task to assure that hygiene in the food preparation and the surroundings in their place are human enough to the  customers. However, they (the eateries owners) may had lapses in times. But the cities SI (sanitary inspectors) find ways and means to improve their task.
The next topic discussed was the Bula zone 6 and its problem faced… ejection. There was a lengthy explanation by atty. Zapatos and atty. Clarin.
Opening of the diversion road at apopong going toPolomolok, to the airport, to Sarangani Province and the city of Gensan is concerned. Engineer Provido made assurance that the work is now being accelerated to meet the needs, not only of the people of Gensan but also of the need of incoming travellers from other parts of Mindanao, not to mention the tourists coming from inside the country who travel by land.
The mayor and his staff thanked all the media people present at the third Tagboansa City hall. Olivert Castro of Masa Patrol, AnterAlcos of Alerto, Boy Pialogo of DXGS and Humpey Martinez of 91.1 KeesFm were those who contributed issues for discussion. (Written by:  Prof. Rose A.
