Fye flafus!
paghiniusa kag pag-uswag sang nasyon.
sang aton syudad.
I am very proud to say that our
city is just one of the handfuls of LGUs, which heeded the mandate of the IPRA
law by finally paving the way for a member of the IP Community, a Blaan, to
join the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
This is a commitment to a more
inclusive policy making strategy, which enables a greater perspective in the
discussions and debates of issues resulting into better crafted policies that
serve the interests of a greater number of social groups.
Naga selebrar kita karon sang
first ever Blaan Day sa General Santos City.
resolusyon authored by the Hon. Mario U Empal, our IP Mandatory representative
and jointly sponsored by all the members of the SP.
Resolution 209 Series of 2015
Respectfully Requested the President of the Philippines…To Declare July 22,
2015 As A Special Non-Working Holiday in GSC In Celebration of Its Indigenous
Peoples 1st Blaan Day.
I am very proud that our city
recognizes and promotes the interest of our IP brothers and sisters. This
recognition acknowledges the important historical, cultural and social roles
that Blaans along with other IP communities play in our community.
Whether you are an IP, Muslim, or
Christian, you have the responsibility to be a good citizen of the city and
contribute to its success.
For a city moving in step with
its goal has straight and smooth path towards the realization of its aspiration.
Thank you. Salamat sa tanan.
Happy Blaan Day! Congratulations!
God Bless You All.
