SOCOTECO II POWER ADVISORY

S.E.C. PLANT TESTS RESCHEDULED, POWER INTERRUPTIONS EXPECTED

Power interruptions experienced since Monday, March 28, 2016 may continue until after completion of power plant tests by Sarangani Energy Corporation (SEC). Below were the activities conducted and outcome of tests:

One hour – rotational brownout was implemented; SOC2 maximized all contracted supplies.

*If SEC cannot resume, 25MW deficit is expected, which will result to rotat’l brownout (please see schedule below).
SEC is still verifying the cause of the problem.

1.5 to 3-hour rotational brownout maybe implemented


Schedule will be implemented ONLY IF S.E.C. cannot resume operation by 12 NN today.

SEC stated that it will re-conduct the 100% load rejection and trip to house load tests on March 31 and April 1, 2016, respectively, which were considered “indispensable to ensure the power plant’s reliability”. SEC’s final schedule is not yet available at the moment.

We again appeal of your kind understanding for possible interruptions. SOCOTECO II will manage whatever supply available and distribute it as evenly as possible to all customers in Sarangani Province, Tupi and Polomolok and General Santos City.
